​Julia C. Thomas (BMus M.Mus.Ed F.T.C.L L.R.A.M) has been teaching piano privately for 40 years. Her work has taken her to England, Newfoundland and British Columbia. Julia’s students have a 100% success rate with RCM exams and she teaches a wide variety of styles including classical, jazz, blues and modern. As a former elementary and high school music teacher, Julia brings a wealth of experience from conducting ensembles into her private teaching. 

Julia establishes strong foundations in music reading, rhythm, technique and musicianship with her piano students, always teaching with an enjoyable and inspiring approach. She is passionate about helping students to unlock their very best potential. She is a Soprano in the Vancouver Bach Choir, trained as an Orff teacher and is teaching Piano & Music Theory with Summit Music in North and West Vancouver starting in 2022.
