    We provide structured, goal-oriented instruction to help students succeed and progress on their chosen instrument. Students also have opportunities to participate in competitions, festivals, examinations, and annual recitals.

Beginner's Approach

    Foundations

    We will set up fingers, hands, arms and whole body correctly to avoid the development of bad habits. Good technique starts at the beginning.

    Fundamentals of Music

    Students will learn to read notes using our innovative, child-friendly method. They will develop their rhythm through ear training games and exercises.

Intermediate & Advanced

    Proper Guidance

    Many teachers will leave students to their own devices on sight reading and skill building. We show students how to overcome these skills to become confident and accomplished.

    Technique

    Bad technique will stop your progress. We support your goals by helping you build a relaxed, comfortable and reliable technique to tackle the advanced repertoire.

    Music Theory

    Theory is introduced as students reach the intermediate stage. We can help work through the RCM levels to ensure a deeper understanding of music.

  • Ages 3 - 5 | 30 mins
    Age 6 and up | 45 mins
    Level 8 RCM and up | 60 Mins

  • Yes! We use www.fortelessons.com as our online lesson platform. This has been proven to be more effective than Zoom for online classes. We work hard to ensure the process is as effective as it can possible be.

  • Practice needs to take place everyday for significant progress to occur. In your interview, we will discuss our expectations for practice and how to include this in your weekly schedule.

  • We partner with Stripe to offer monthly online payments via credit card. E-transfer is also accepted.

  • It is not mandatory. Typically, we recommend that students sit an exam every other year. The years in between exams allow for wide study of repertoire and the chance for the student to discover new music.
